On Saturday, Joey Chestnut became the Susan Boyle of eating.

The sport of Major League Eating saw a startling upheaval as the reigning world champion eater, Joey “Jaws” Chestnut, was defeated by former long-time champion Takeru “Tsunami” Kobayashi in the Pizza Hut P’Zones Chow-down Challenge this weekend in Los Angeles. The contest was part of Spike TV’s Guys Choice Awards on Saturday night, May 30th.
