Sarah Palin for Dummies

Sarah Palin's Pop-Up Book by Beeler

This cartoon is so apt for me.  What kind of political leader, no less one with a brush at the presidency, could devote their time and energy to constantly blaming others for everything and playing victim?  While a new poll today says that only 28% of Americans think Sarah Palin is fit to lead, that is about the same number that still supported George W. Bush while he was running their country into the ground.  Sarah Palin has the presumption of a popular reality show contestant who has long ago assumed that the world is being delivered to her, and anything not favoring her explicitly is considered an attack, and will be maligned into a victimizing falsehood.

For further reading, this from Mark Crispin Miller:

goin' rouge

From Barbara Monteiro:

Let’s all prevent the Palin/Dobbs (or Dobbs/Palin) presidential ticket before it has a chance to gain momentum–and if you think it can’t happen, think again. Palin needs some gravitas (to put it mildly), and Lou Dobbs has the weight.

In the meantime, get the real facts on Sarah Palin in Going Rouge–the antidote to Palin’s Going Rogue–now available at ORBooks.com for $16.00. In Going Rouge, you’ll read what Alaskans have to say about Palin, her “poetry” as recited on television and her verbatim interviews. You’ll also read what some of the best progressive thinkers have to say about Sarah Palin.  The essayists include Joe Conason, Eve Ensler, Tom Frank, Naomi Klein, John Nichols, Frank Rich, Matt Taibbi, Katrina vanden Heuvel and many others.

THE COLORING BOOK!!

AND check out another book called Going Rouge–a coloring book by Michael Stinson and Jule Sigwart of Take Back the Media.
Don’t miss it and tell your friends before the Sarah Palin book tour tidal wave hits our television screen next week.
