Split: A Divided America

Posted by John Wellington Ennis

As an election documentary filmmaker, I really appreciated this film by Kelly Nyks, and not just because it has a lot of the same obscure stock footage as FREE FOR ALL!

Split: A Divided America travels America in search of common ground and evolving discourse between the Red and Blue State mindset. Determinedly non-partisan while exploring sides of the culture wars, this is a genteel and genuine effort to elevate our civil discourse. Though this film was made in anticipation of the 2008 election, it is perhaps more relevant than ever.

Now that you have watched that feature doc, count all the stock footage shots of people voting and campaign new coverage that also appears in FREE FOR ALL! Submit your guess in the comments!
