The People vs. SCOTUS

Today’s long-anticipated ruling from the Supreme Court has set back existing laws and regulation against corporate funding of campaigns by 60 years. This has opened the floodgates for the very corporations begging for bailouts to throw pocket money at our representatives, to make sure they continue to not have to pay corporate taxes, or succumb to environmental regulation, or other accountability. Here is a V-Log made at an airport by the distinguished Laurence Lessig, author of the Stanford Law Fair Use Copyright Code, an invaluable doctrine for documentary filmmakers, on the signficanace of this ruling, and what it means for U.S. citizens going forward.
