One year ago yesterday, some dude named Andrew Meyer lost his cool and made internet history, and earned a role in the unknown film FREE FOR ALL! Where is he now?
Meyer declined to discuss the anniversary. Meyer’s attorney, however, is quoted as saying Meyer graduated from UF and is looking for work.
This is my tribute to Andrew Meyer (and Chris Crocker).
This is the first hail of arrows raining down upon the innocent voters in swing states. As increasingly reported by Mark Crispin Miller, Brad Blog, and else where, the McCain absentee ballot mailing going out to millions of people is the test to see which get returned to sender.
At least it’s not “Puppet Show and Free For All”
Waiting here at LAX, I just learned I’m at the same terminal where Kanye West was arrested yesterday fighting with a photographer.
It occurred to me that Kanye is that anti-Rudy Giuliani: Where Rudy will do anything he can to remind us of 9/11, Kanye will help us forget that it’s 9/11 without even trying.
Yesterday, Kanye stole the headlines just for commuter rage, since the campaign cease-fire deprived the media of reporting childish antics.
Last year on this date, Kanye and 50 Cent released their albums on 9/11, creating a sales anticipation the press loved to fuel. Especially when Kanye bragged of the release date: ‘They’ll never forget this day!’ Er, right.
There is a force greater than Rudy’s need to scare us into submission:
Kanye’s ego.
“Damn, ‘Ye, it would be stupid to diss you–Even your superficial raps is super-official!”
