In New York in the 1990’s, there was a small club in Manhattan, Tramp’s, that showcased some of the biggest names in Hip Hop. I will periodically post some of this footage of Tribe Called Quest, Roots, KRS-ONE, and others. Here is Common, having just dropped his surname “Sense” in a lawsuit with an LA pun band named Common Sense. Common was very gracious then to let me shoot up front even though he kept bumping into me, and even get me a shout-out on camera after the show. When I got to give him a DVD of this show over a decade later, he was really grateful, and took a picture with me.
